Blind date turned into a shocking bedroom interview
Dear Pastor,
I am 26 years old and I didn’t have a man in my life so two of my girlfriends set up a blind date for me.
They told me that they knew a guy who was eager to meet with me. With my permission, they gave him my number. So, the date was set. When he called me, I told him that because we were going out for the first time, I wanted him to go to a very public place. He asked me like where and I told him it could be in a restaurant. He suggested we go to a club, but I declined because I do not go to clubs, neither do I drink. He also suggested that we go to Port Royal, but I told him that I do not like fish, so, we found a place where we were able to meet and talk.
This man chatted a lot and he wanted to know everything about me – my background, my education and even how many men I have had in my life. I told him that I was surprised that he was asking me such personal questions and I refused to answer some of them. He told me that my friends told him that he ought not to be afraid of me, but now that he has met me, he feels that my friends don’t know me very well.
Pastor, why would a man who just met me want to know what position I like in bed? At one time, I threatened to leave the restaurant and call a taxi. When he saw that I was serious, he stopped asking me questions that were very personal and embarrassing. It was the worst date I have ever had. I don’t want to see this man again. After he dropped me home, he called me and apologised and asked me for another date, which I have refused.
Do you think that I did the right thing?
V.
Dear V.,
I hope you will not go anywhere else with this man; he is not a good man.
He is not smart. Your girlfriends meant you well, but they chose the wrong man. Remember that not all men are like this stupid guy; so, don’t give up on men because of the stupid questions this man put to you.
Pastor
