Crimson, ridden by Dane Nelson, wins the Lloyd Lindberg ‘Lindy’ Delapenha Memorial Trophy over a mile at Caymanas Park in St Catherine yesterday.

CRIMSON survived a bumping match with SUPREME SOUL early in the straight to run out an easy three-and-a-quarter length winner of yesterday's 'Lindy' Delapenha Memorial for overnight-allowance horses at a mile.

In contrast to March 12 when he was outsped by lone-speed IV'E GOT MAGIC, at seven and a half furlongs, Gary Subratie's CRIMSON benefitted from stablemate ATLANTIC BLUE hooking up with SUPREME SOUL for the first half-mile before making his bid three furlongs out.

SUPREME SOUL, the 2019 Triple Crown winner, who has been playing musical chairs between the barns of Anthony Nunes and Subratie for the last year, turned for home under the whip with CRIMSON bearing down along the rail.

Ridden out by Tevin Foster to hold CRIMSON's charge along the rail, SUPREME SOUL bumped into his challenger a furlong and a half out but, unlike his dominant year as a three-year-old, could not stop the 4-5 favourite from powering away under Dane Nelson.

CRIMSON closed a three-timer for Nelson, who won the previous event for three-year-old maidens aboard 6-5 favourite GIANT WHEELER for Jason DaCosta, outfinishing MOROMOTO from the rival barn of champion trainer Nunes at six and a half furlongs.

Nelson opened his account aboard 4-5 favourite SUBBIE in the second event at a mile, closing from off the pace with the eight-year-old gelding to easily go by early leader SIR ARJUN BABU, who made a valiant attempt, reporting up in class in the event for optional $400,000 claimers.

DaCosta and David Powell saddled two winners apiece on the 10-race card. MORSE CODE handed DaCosta an 8-1 upset win in the fourth event, closing along the rail with five-time champion jockey Trevor Simpson to nail Nelson stealing home astride TRUE BRAVADO at five furlongs round.

Powell opened the card with SYNCHRONIZE, who beat $180,000 optional claimers at six furlongs with Christopher Mamdeen, staying on strongly in mid-track to hold the challenges of HAIL MARY and PURE HEART.

Youville Pinnock, who had a bumper day with four winners on Saturday, closed Powell's two-timer astride 2-1 chance STEP IN FAITH, keeping the front-running five-year-old off the early pace in the sixth event at six furlongs before mounting his challenge off the home turn to collar BETTER BEST approaching the last furlong.

Racing continues at the weekend with another Saturday-Sunday meet.
