BRED to sprint, from head to tail, PRNCSSHOOTINGSTAR has been on ice, awaiting the six-furlong Hot Line Stakes since placing third in November's Pick 3 Super Challenge at seven furlongs behind BRINKS, narrowly missing the runner-up spot to fast-closing TEKAPUNT.

Staying clear of illusions, many-time champion trainer Philip Feanny kept PRNCSSHOOTINGSTAR in her lane, avoiding December's Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes at a mile, knowing full well she would have been up against the usual suspects, BRINKS and company, despite an improved showing with tongue tie fitted and lasix administered in the Pick 3 Super Challenge.

Feanny started January experimenting with the visor but apparently ditched that idea for the Hot Line Stakes, deciding PRNCSSHOOTINGSTAR's natural speed, which she used to lead BRINKS for five furlongs, should be enough against fillies, none of whom appear capable of causing her any problems on the lead.

Pleased with Linton Steadman's handling in the Pick 3, Feanny has recalled the patient heavyweight rider to rate PRNCSSHOOTINGSTAR on the lead, making it hard to conceive a threat when she's let off her bridle in the stretch run.

Nagging RUPUNZEL will again try her best but superior speed and six furlongs should be too overwhelming for her. SILENT MISSION, who was down the track when PRNCSSHOOTINGSTAR won at three furlongs straight on debut, also held her own against colts, finishing third behind SLAMMER and PERFECT BREW, but will have to be far sharper than what she has been showing at exercise for her return from a four-month lay-up.

Elsewhere on the 10-race card, BRINKS, beaten into third by upset-winner GOLDEN WATTLE and PERFECT BREW when last out in the Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes, returns at six and a half furlongs in the second event, taking on United States-bred RUNAWAY ALGO, who clocked a slow time but won cheekily with Shane Ellis at six furlongs.

BRINKS has already put one across RUNAWAY ALGO, beating the foreigner out of sight on debut. However, tread carefully, BRINKS hasn't raced since December whereas the foreigner trained well for two victories since and continues to look smart in the mornings with multiple bullet works.

Should BRINKS topple RUNAWAY ALGO off the lay-up, PRNCSSHOOTINGSTAR should be a banker on every bet taking a shot at the $3.48 million Twilight 6 carryover, starting at the fifth race.
