Former Sporting Central Academy player Kemar Reid said that he is ready to be involved in the national senior men's football team following a season with St Andrews FC in the Maltese Premier League.

The midfielder moved from Maltese side Mosta FC last August, on loan, with a contract that expires next month and he is very positive and believes he can make an impact in the Reggae Boyz squad.

"I have been in Malta for two years and the experience has being good for me. After moving from Mosta to St Andrews in the Maltese top league, I won the January Player of the Month award and that is a great feeling," Reid said.

"I had a good season scoring some goals and assists, but the club struggled and finished 11th in the 14-team league," he said. "I can make the Jamaica team because I am playing professional football. I have the ability to represent the country. Once Jamaica calls me, I am ready," Reid added.

Reid, who went to Mata after a stint at Phoenix Academy, praised Phoenix and St Andrews FC president, Craig Butler, for pushing his career.

"He (Butler) is doing a great job as everyone can see with Leon Bailey, Kyle Butler, Kevaughn Atkinson, and myself doing well," he said.
