Lady Prepps wants to be in the spotlight

The year 2018 is shaping up to be a good year for female dancehall artistes.

Since the start of the year, we have seen the emergence of several new female dancehall stars, such as Dovey Magnum, Hood Celebrityy and Jada Kingdom.

Fast-rising dancehall artiste Lady Prepps is now determined to add her name to the growing list of new female stars in dancehall music.

"A woman time now, the girls are taking over dancehall music now. I feel very good about that, and I want to take my place in the spotlight, too," said Lady Prepps.

The deejay, who hails from the parish of Manchester, is currently promoting a new single, titled Take You Home. The song was produced by veteran music producer Syl Gordon and released in May.

"I'm getting a lot of positive feedback about this single from DJs all over the world. I'm working very hard with my team to promote it. I'm also preparing to shoot a video for it very soon," said the artiste.

Lady Prepps is also working on several projects that will be released later this year.

"Before the end of the summer, I plan to drop at least two more singles. After that I'm going to drop my EP, and it's going to be epic," she said.
