ZJ Dymond scores big with Shane O song
Popular disc jockey ZJ Dymond is pleased that he has scored yet another number one single with Shane O's 'Pardner Draw' that was released on his Full Chaarge label earlier this year.
"Shane O's song is a great hit song. It's catchy, the public loves it, and I feel good how Shane O has been able to make such a strong comeback in the music business. The single is one of the best for 2018, and the video has over 600,000 views on YouTube. When it comes to production, consistency is the key, and it is great to have another number one song," ZJ Dymond said.
The disc jockey has been part of the ZIP FM family for several years, but crossed over into production in 2011 when his record label was established. ZJ Dymond first tasted success with the release of the award-winning 'Promiscuous' rhythm, which featured Gage's Kitty Kat and Vybz Kartel's Pretty Position.
The disc jockey and producer won a best-selling/streaming dancehall rhythm award for his 'Ghetto Bible' production at the 2016 staging of the 21st Hapilos Digital Music Awards' People's Choice award ceremony.
Earlier this year, he released the 'Black Jeans' rhythm to rave reviews, and within the next few weeks, he will be seeking to raise his international profile by releasing a single with international recording artiste Kevin Lyttle and reggae-dancehall star Ce'Cile.
"This single, which is called Stagga, is highly anticipated because it has a great dancehall-soca energy, and with two superstars, Ce'Cile and Kevin Lyttle, it is possible this song can cross over into overseas markets," ZJ Dymond said.
As a producer, ZJ Dymond has also worked with Konshens, Shenseea and African dancehall star Shatta Wale.
In the meantime, ZJ Dymond has gained recognition as the must-have DJ for clubs, weddings, carnivals, corporate events and mainstream parties, beach parties, and other well-known local college parties. His demand internationally is diversifying, as he is being booked for clubs and events in Grand Cayman, Trinidad, New York, Florida and Connecticut.
