Big Jule wins the seventh race, over a mile, at Caymanas Park in Portmore, St Catherine, yesterday.

BIG JULE again made short work of rivals yesterday, scooting home six and three-quarter lengths clear of Anthony Nunes' pair, SANTORINI and BERN NOTICE, for the second time in a month.

Basically a re-run of BIG JULE's November 20 runaway win at nine furlongs and 25 yards, the in-utero colt clocked a fast 1:37.4 at a mile, the only difference being SANTORINI reversing the runner-up position on BERN NOTICE.

Omar Walker was motionless astride BIG JULE to the top of the lane while BERN NOTICE chased with stablemate SANTORINI third, under the pump, from a half-mile out.

Unleashed in the stretch run, BIG JULE sprinted clear for his fourth win from seven starts, signalling his readiness to renew rivalry next season with CALCULUS, BILLY WHIZZ and FURTHER AND BEYOND, who had beaten him into fourth in August's Jamaica Derby.

Walker, who earlier won the third aboard Anthony Nunes' GO DEH GIRL, shared the day's riding honours with Robert Halledeen, who landed the late double with OUR ANGEL and T BRADY.

Jason DaCosta extended his stakes lead over champion Nunes by saddling back-to-back winners, MORSE CODE and SUDDEN FLIGHT, in the fourth and fifth events, respectively.

Racing continues on Thursday.
